Weebly now offers two different editors for their themes. Here's how to know which is compatible with the theme.
Weebly now offers two editors, one is their original Weebly editor and the other is a Square-based one. Here's how to tell if our themes are compatible with your version of the Weebly builder.
However, since Square's acquisition of Weebly, a new more limited builder has been deployed for some customers.
To switch, you will need to create a new Weebly website (this may or may not involve needing to create a new Weebly account, depending on your account type. If Weebly won't let you make a second site, you'll have to create a new account). You cannot transfer your current site to the original Weebly editor because the framework for the original Weebly builder and the Square builder is completely different.
When you create a new site, you'll be taken to an onboarding site that looks something like this:
As you can see in the annotations above, selecting the "I Just Need a Website" option will take you to the original Weebly builder that is compatible with our themes. Note that you will still be able to add an eCommerce store to your website if you desire, it'll simply be through the original Weebly builder.
Now, selecting the "I need a website with an online store" will take you to the eCommerce-only Square Website Builder that is not compatible with our themes.
